Quant Risk Analyst

Developing and maintaining complex valuation and risk models, you will be making important optimisation decisions for the company. Coverage includes supporting commodity trading activities through to optimisation modelling for physical assets. The role will empower the successful candidates in a high profile quantitative role, and develop your knowledge regarding the energy industry. Being part of a of broader market risk team you will liase with others daily - including operations and trading. Working alongside traders, you will need to communicate complex models appropriately to them, and in return will have exposure and input into physical commodities trading activities.

Requirements:

- Masters or ideally PhD level in a highly quantitative or analytical subject is essential.

- Strong modelling and technical skills, including Excel, VBA, Matlab, C++ and experience of using MonteCarlo simulations

- Experience and understanding of price movement within the energy and commodities markets.

- Previous working experience undertaking complex quantitative finance, or analysis - ideally in an commodities focused role.

- Strong communication skills to challenge proposals and present new models and ideas.
