Leading US and London based High Frequency Prop Trading firm has an outstanding opportunity for a Quant Trader to join the team.
Our client is a $2 billion strong HF prop trading house with performance figures of 28%. Their strategy is based around Eurodollar market making and Interest Rate arbitrage, Government Fixed Income options spread trading, market making and relative value trading spreads on the Euribor and Eurodollar.
They avoid the bureaucracy of larger organizations, and keep their management structures flat. Decisions are made efficiently; changes are implemented quickly. The Quant trader will be responsible for researching and developing the strategy and execution plans for opportunistic trades in global derivatives markets.
The responsibilities for this position are varied and complex, requiring a high degree of confidentiality, discretion, independent judgment, and initiative.
This role can move towards a portfolio management or senior trading position or remain within quant high frequency research. The role involves the freedom to research strategies in a motivated environment but you must have had exposure to trading previously.
The Quant Trader will:
Develop and implement strategies that aim to profit from mispricing in global derivatives markets. Ensure the trading infrastructure is implemented in order to value, execute and risk manage futures and options positions. Develop relationships with industry counterparties in support of strategic plans.
Candidates MUST have:
- PhD / Masters in Computer Science from a top 100 Global University
- 5 years of experience in a senior-level trading position
- Experience evaluating and trading futures and options in an organization that does not naturally benefit from customer flow. This includes ability to develop pricing models as well as establish and monitor risk limits for complex, multi-year, multi-product derivatives portfolios.
- Knowledge of and experience applying technical analysis.
- Fundamental knowledge of several commodity markets.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office (particularly Excel) and Bloomberg
