Quant Trader – Fixed Income recruitment
Excellent opportunity to suit a dynamic and entrepreneurial individual who is an academically high achiever with a strong Mathematics or Physics background (Masters Level essential) and high level of business acumen.
The role will focus on using quantitative methods and computational solutions to maximise trading returns and reflect market changes and in addition to strong academics and technology skills the successful candidate must demonstrate superior strategic planning skills, together with the drive and ability to succeed in a highly competitive and pressurised marketplace. Superior analytical and coding skills are essential and will be complemented by a good understanding of trading/financial markets, knowledge of data analysis tools to include either “R” or Matlab and familiarity with systems to include Bloomberg, Reuters and, ideally Python.
The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication and influencing skills and a creative approach to problem solving. Previous experience of working in a business start-up situation will be an advantage, together with some exposure to a Fixed Income environment. The determination and drive necessary to succeed in this stimulating and challenging environment are pre-requisite.
