Alexander Black Recruitment is urgently looking for a Quantitative Analyst to join our high profile client.

Our client is the premier center for financial research. It partners with all the major financial services players and has sixty-four permanent professors, engineers and support staff based in some of the world’s best investment banks. My client supports Portfolio optimization specifically in the asset management and investment banking sector. They are currently the market lead on exotic indices.

The successful candidate will be a senior quantitative analyst with significant skills in quantitative finance and back testing and analysis of investment strategies. A typical profile would be an engineering graduate from a leading school with subsequent experience and/or training in finance, and ideally a doctoral qualification in finance, economics, or in a quantitative discipline. Specific expertise in the areas of empirical finance or quantitative fixed income research is required and experience in a research post with an investment bank or asset management company would be an asset for the position. The successful candidate will participate in the area of applied asset management research and will work on fixed income portfolio optimisation, performance analysis and on designing fixed income investment strategies. He/she will represent the research at seminars and conferences, so good presentation skills are required.

This role suits a candidate who is looking to take a lead position within a well known organisation, the role holds high responsibility and reports to the head of research.
