Agilex’s Homeland Security team based in Washington D.C. and the surrounding Metropolitan area has opportunities for you to become part of their high-quality team that delivers innovative solutions to key Federal clients in risk management, enterprise systems development and business process improvement. In this role, you will be part of a small independent team performing analysis, implementation and support for a large federal agency.

 

Responsibilities:
•Collect, retrieve and understand data to support business needs
•Analyze data, build models and assess analytical quality
•Design data experiments and assess their results
•Monitor predictive model performance and make operational recommendations
•Client interaction and communicate results to management and personnel
•Identify opportunities to apply innovative analytical techniques to improve business performance
•Support the manager on the project
•Developing, maintaining, and analyzing quantitative methods to perform data analysis, develop algorithms and predictive models, and present information to clients and personnel
•Apply algorithms and modeling tools to real client data and develop analytical solutions with other quantitative areas
•Manage multiple projects or assignments simultaneously and logical problem solving skills
•Develop and maintain toolset of predictive analytics methods to support client targeting solutions and business processes and activities
•Develop statistical models and methodologies to predict, quantify, and forecast multiple business concerns and provide performance reporting capabilities
•Ensure and maintain analytical reliability and quality
•Create full and clear documentation of business processes and analytical solutions
•Provide expertise and technical assistance to implement propensity model results in operational and real-time business processes

 

Qualifications:

•Strong analytical skills coupled with strong written and verbal communication ability
•Effective communication skills with proven ability to present results of statistical models to client and personnel
•BA/BS degree or advanced degree with a concentration in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science or related analytical field of study
•Certification and expertise in SAS technologies and Enterprise Guide, SPSS plus Matlab, R or similar statistical platform
•5+ year(s) of work experience in analytical consulting and enterprise systems implementation including modeling techniques, statistical analysis, propensity score matching, multivariate analysis, logistic regression, time series, survival analysis, decision trees, and neural networks
•Prior Federal consulting experience in statistics and IT area preferred
•Excellent oral and written communication skills are critical
•A current Customs and Border Protection or Department of Homeland Security Background Investigation is strongly desired
•Willingness to travel and flexibility to commute to clients in the DC metro area as needed
•Must be able to obtain and maintain a CBP Full BI Clearance
