Quantitative Analyst s – 1 to 3 Years Experience

(Excellent Quantitative Abilities + Personable) x Ability + Drive = Ideal Quant

Let’s get straight to the point. There are not a lot of opportunities in Australia compared Asia right now if you're a quantitative analyst. The time to move abroad, expand the skill sets, broaden cultural horizons and even discover new things, is now. This may be the role for you.

To apply, you'll require a PhD, exposure to the modelling of real world financial problems and some high profile peer reviewed publications (scientific, mathematical or financial…)

This is a extremely rare chance to work on the desk of an Investment Bank in Singapore and to gain exposure to trading, structuring and product development.

The crux of the role is to:

This is not a role for a quant who loves to sit quietly in the corner deriving complex math or someone who enjoys lively (and long) debates about some random modelling method that will never be useful in the real world….no, this role is a ‘doing role’ and requires superior communication skills, a tough mental attitude and the ability just to ‘get things done’ in sometimes impossible timeframes.

What’s on offer? The chance to work alongside some very experienced and capable senior quants who will actively tutor and develop you into an effective front office quant. The culture is of high achievement and quick thinking, so please only apply if you think you are capable of working in not just technically demanding environment, but also in a people-centric business.
