Quantitative Analyst/Developer
As a Quantitative Analyst/Developer, you will contribute to the development of Millennium Global systematic strategies. Main responsibilities will centre on the development, maintenance and administration of the infrastructure solutions required for those strategies. Key tasks will include:
- Administering, maintaining, supporting and further developing existing tools
- Creating and maintaining new IT tools and solutions for use on the desk
- Carrying out simulations and analyses to support the Research and Marketing effort for the quantitative strategies
- Contributing ideas to further improve and extend the infrastructure and strategies
- Liaising and cooperating with colleagues within the team and other departments
In addition to the above, the position will also entail working with the project management and central IT groups on future strategic infrastructure developments.
In addition to strong computer development skills (an extensive experience of coding in Matlab and Excel/VBA) that are a pre-requisite, the position also requires:
- proficiency in the practical application of the numerical techniques to real data
- familiarity with software development and release tools and process
- ability and appetite for technology and data intensive tasks
- ability to constructively communicate with peers and colleagues in various groups (research, client-facing, IT…)
The successful candidate is likely to have:
- a good initial undergraduate degree in a relevant quantitative topic
- a prior exposure to quantitative finance analysis and data
- prior experience of database interfacing and programming
- strong organisational and interpersonal skills
- attention to detail as well as precise and accurate working practices
