Quantitative Developer – Java – Switzerland recruitment

They will be trading a combination of high to medium frequency quantitative strategies across global futures markets and have been established by one of the pioneers of futures systematic trading. They are offering the opportunity to join an ambitious, collaborative and prestigious hedge fund from the beginning and contribute to the growth of the firm.

Please apply if you:                                         

• Have an MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics or Physical Sciences

• Prefer working in a small company ( ~ 5 people)

• Are passionate about building complex systems

• Want to see your system trading on major financial markets

• Don’t proceed with a repetitive task before it’s automated

• Have a strong opinion and are able to listen to and accept opposite views

• Developed complex software for at least a year in one of the object oriented languages

• Have experience programming in Java and occasionally in C#

• Think you are really good at something that is relevant for the company

• Like brain teasers, playing poker, chess or enjoy solving abstract problems

• Have a winner’s mentality

• Worked more than 5 years in a large financial institution

• View a management role as the best career step

• Think that software development is a necessary evil

• Are religious about technology choices, such as programming languages or operating systems

• Are not willing to spend 3 hours on a development test

• Give up easily
