Quantitative Equity Portfolio Manager

Deutsche Asset Management is seeking employment applications from qualified equity professionals for a portfolio manager role in its multi-billion dollar quantitative equity team within its Insurance business line, a global channel responsible for the management of over $200 billion in insurance fixed income and equity general account assets. 

Responsibilities Include:

• Working as part of a two-person lead portfolio management team

• Taking on a very significant role in the daily management of client funds including active portfolio management with proprietary quantitative multi-factor stock selection models

• Research into quantitative models and the effectiveness of current and prospective factors

• Analysis of various proposed equity strategy enhancements many of which may include working with equity derivatives

• Very significant focus on interfacing with key clients and prospects

Skills Required:

• At least five years of related experience in domestic and international equity quantitative modeling and portfolio management

• Strong proficiency in portfolio construction and optimization

• Excellent fundamental knowledge of the equity markets, various equity strategies and modern portfolio theory

• Ability to articulate investment ideas and processes

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Highly comfortable with technology, statistics, and data analysis

• Knowledge of Axioma and/or Factset considered a plus. 

• Education in any of the quantitative or technical disciplines is essential and advanced degrees are a strong plus.
