Quantitative FX Systematic analyst

 

A leading sell side strategy team are currently looking to add an FX quantitative analyst to their group in London.

You will be providing quantitative analysis of financial markets, with particular focus on FX and developing systematic strategies within the FX space.

 

You will be responsible for regular analysis of:-

-          market conditions/global positioning

-          momentum indicators

-          implied volatility

-          risk-reversals/contrarian indicators

-          interest rate spreads

 

All applicants must have quantitative skills however you MUST also have experience within Fundamental research and have a global macroeconomic background as you will be forming long term view on global economic trends and currencies in order to produce thematic based research in addition you will be in a Intra-day/medium term discretionary prop trading environment which is based on a combination of both fundamentals and technical/quantitative trading.

 

In order to apply for the role you must have knowledge and experience in the development of systematic trading methodologies and have the understanding of the programming required to create strategies for trading G10 currencies.

 

You must have excellent statistical analysis skills and the ability to provide technical analysis in addition to experience developing models based around, trend following, counter trend indicators and yield curve analysis.

 

This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience within a quantitative role developing systematic programs for a Currency Overlay program. You will also be able to  gain the experience you would require to understand the processes of a systematic proprietary trading fund and also the processes included to  identify and extract Alpha from FX.
