(Quantitative) Research Analyst recruitment
Unique opportunity for a (Quantitative) Research Analyst, who thrives in a performance-oriented environment and wants to stand out from the crowd.
You will work with very experienced people and be part of a successful EMD team with representation across 3 time zones in a stimulating, open and informal work environment. Location of this position is The Hague, but travelling to Atlanta will be part of your role.
Your main responsibilities
• Develop tools and models to support analysis and decision-making processes across strategies
• Back testing potential relationships relevant for decision-making in various investment processes
• Maintain data and analyses for external representation purposes
• Write reports for external profiling
• Risk performance analysis and simulation
• Develop data management infrastructure to support model development and maintenance
Your experience and skills
• Knowledge of and experience in applying a wide set of modern econometric and mathematic techniques to finance
• Programming and database-management
• Econometrics or any other quantitative discipline
• Fluency in English

Your department and challenge
The EMD boutique manages approximately € 11 billion on behalf of mostly institutional investors, including Central Banks, Pension Funds and Insurance Companies, next to a range of mutual funds.The EMD boutique currently runs 7 different Strategies, mostly global but also regional ones; via these Strategies, we invest in more than 25 currencies via government bonds, corporate bonds and derivatives. The team has a long and outstanding track record competing with the best in class.
The open position is in the area of quantitative research, supporting the Investment Managers in the EMD boutique. Empirical research, portfolio tool design and optimisation, performance risk analysis and input to continuously improve investment processes are core activities of the quant research analyst. To ensure strategy-oriented research, the analyst operates in close cooperation with the managers of the strategies. Furthermore, the analyst is capable of describing research findings to enhance the profile of the EMD boutique externally and internally.
