Quantitative Researcher recruitment

What you’ll do
As a Quantitative Researcher within our Research Team you will develop new and improve existing trading strategies, algorithms and pricing models. You will not only push the boundaries of what is known about pricing, but you will also develop the next generation of automated trading strategies. In both cases, you will test your ideas against market data and implement your findings in our daily trading activities in close collaboration with our traders, IT specialists and other Quantitative Researchers.

Tasks
As our new Quantitative Researcher you will:
• Develop and optimise automated trading strategies;
• Test your models and algorithms against market data;
• Write and use programs to analyse and explore data;
• Work with very large sets of data;
• Discuss and test your ideas together with our Traders.

What you’ll need
• An academic degree with excellent grades in subjects such as Computer Science, Computational/Mathematical Finance, Applied Physics/Mathematics;
• A PhD or other research experience in a quantitative subject is a strong plus;
• Knowledge of analysis and statistics;
• Experience in programming with C++, Java or a similar language;
• Experience using Matlab or R, VBA and SQL;
• A competitive attitude and eagerness to constantly improve yourself and challenge those around you;
• Good communication and team working skills;
• Knowledge of data mining techniques, heuristic algorithms, statistical methods, optimization algorithms and simulation would be advantageous;
• An affinity for financial markets/trading.
