Quantitative Trading Systems Developer & Analyst recruitment
Role Overview
Based in Geneva, the principle component of this new role will be to develop and maintain systems required to provide a robust, quantitative analytical backbone for a proprietary commodity derivatives trading business. With a base system already in place, the role will focus on expanding the capability to deal with the greater demands of a growing business (multiple commodities) and the desire to explore higher frequency trading strategies. The role will be co-located with the traders in order to allow fast and effective communication. In addition to the base responsibilities of systems development and analysis, the role will provide development opportunities towards direct risk responsibility.

Required:
Degree in Computer Science or similar from a leading university
Programming skills in Java, C++, .net or equivalent
Significant experience of working in a trading environment
Significant experience in developing and maintaining data analysis systems
Strong analytical skills
Preferred:
Experience of working on systematic strategies
Experience of working in a fast turnaround environment
- Programming – coding strategies and analytical frameworks into low maintenance outputs (e.g. automated daily e-mails, automated posting of graphics to websites)
- Analysis and Strategy Development – analysis directed by trading team and autonomous development of new strategies with a focus on shorter term price moves
- Execution – execution of commodity futures using full spectrum of electronic tools
- Contribution to Daily Point of View – provide input, focused on systematic and higher frequency trading participants, to the daily creation of a pint of view on the market
