An extremely large Mining Project in WA has an immediate opening for an experienced Quantity Surveyor! We require a strong QS applicant with client team or EPCM experience to be considered for this challenging role.

This large project covers all aspects of mining development. A large West Australian project which is about to move into the next phase now requires a Perth based QS. This large project is valued in the billions and is about to commence the next stage of the project offering up 12 months of employment on a contract basis. This will encompass projects and work packages across all engineering fields of construction. Experience within underground mining will be viewed favorably as will a degree in Quantity Surveying or an equivalent.
Your Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Perform risk and value management and cost control
- Advising on procurement strategy
- Ensure all estimates are prepared and reviewed in accordance with tender procedures and to client's requirements
- Identify, analyse and development responses to commercial risks
- Preparing and analysing costing for tenders
- Provide advice on contractual claims
You will require very strong analytical and risk management skills, good people management skills, and a high standard of written and oral communication skills.
You will have the following experience to be successful in this role:
- At least 3-5 years experience in a similar role on a Mining Project
- Minimum of 3 years experience post qualifications
- Strong 1st hand knowledge of Quantity surveying duties
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
