CPA Firm Seeking Capable, Qualified Staff Member

 

Growing CPA firm needs experienced, self starting accountant/bookkeeper for immediate position.  MUST have a good working knowledge of QuickBooks, Excel, payroll and general ledger.  Income tax preparation experience a plus.  Applicant must be committed to growth and learning as well as working with fellow professionals and clients.  Professionalism and excellent communications skills are essential.  Immediate opportunity.

 

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  1. QuickBooks and general ledger posting including /journal entries.
  2. Analysis of accounts.
  3. Setting up, updating and maintaining fixed asset and depreciation schedules
  4. Reconciliation of bank accounts.
  5. Reconciliation of intercompany accounts.
  6. Recap payroll data and preparation of State and Federal Payroll tax returns.
  7. Computing of State sales taxes and prepare monthly sales and use tax returns.
  8. Review of computer generated financial statements including working knowledge of balance sheet and statement of income and expenses.
  9. Prepare other financial reports required by Financial Institutions, insurance companies, owners, etc.
  10. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
