R D Technician
Major Responsibilities, but not limited to: § Testing prototype product for RF electrical performance, consistent with engineering and other specifications. Testing prototype product for mechanical performance and durability. Testing products environmental parameters; including Ultra Violet, Salt fog, vibration, thermal cycling. Assisting with equipment set up, lab configurations, equipment troubleshooting as well as implementing and following test lab processes. May be responsible for documentation, calibration, troubleshooting and/or preventative maintenance on lab equipment. Reads/interprets schematics, blueprints, printouts and specifications as needed to complete tests to determine the functionality and performance of products. May participate with engineers in the debugging and troubleshooting of new and existing products. As needed support engineering staff in the test lab. Qualifications: To be effective in this position, the person must possess (prioritized list): Technical degree or certification required. 2 to 5 years of experience within electrical and/or mechanical role. Relevant validation test lab environment experience with mechanical or electronic systems, including setting up tests within environmental chambers is preferred. Exp with Network and spectrum analyzers; environmental, electrical, mechanical screening. Active Passive RF Must have excellent project management skills. This individual needs to be detail-oriented and have very strong communication skills. Ability to work in a close team environment with others to help resolve test issues should they arise. Ability to stay on task and follow-through with commitments to the teams and engineers, even if this means staying late to do so. Good written/verbal communication skills to communicate test status and issues that may arise during testing.
