RAD Developer - VP - London - Equity, Finance
My client is one of the world leaders in financial services and they have an exciting opportunity for a RAD Developer to join their investment banking and Equity Finance division
· The main duties of the role are requirements gathering, working closely with Collateral traders to develop effective RAD style solutions for their reporting needs.
· The candidate will have a deep understanding of the Equity Finance - SBL, Swaps and Collateral Management business. The candidate must have proven experience in working with FO traders as well as working as part of a larger IT organisation.
· Strong Excel / VBA , MS-Access Programming , SQL (Sybase/Oracle), and possibly knowledge of C# ( .Net technologies) .
· Be able to establish strong relationships with the business users.
· The candidate should be a quick learner and have worked in a Front Office environment.
· The candidate should have a positive attitude and have an ability to work well with a team. Excellent written and oral communication skills as you will be required to work with a wide range of people split across multiple destinations across the globe.
· With this in mind an ability to work with multiple groups on accomplishing common goals is required.
· Knowledge of enterprise java programming including J2EE, JBOSS, Hibernate would be useful but not essential
· The candidate should have a good understanding of the full software lifecycle development process
· Strong experience working in software development in a time critical financial markets environment
· Understanding of Collateral Management, Equity Financing, SBL, Swaps
· Educated to degree level or equivalent.
