RAD Development Manager recruitment

REED IT is urgently looking for a strong RAD Development Manager with back-office (Treasury) Investment banking experience to join an excellent Financial Institution well-established in HK and Asia (Permanent).

Main responsibilities and daily tasks:

Lead a team of 5 – 10 people onshore offshore. Provide technical leadership for the design, development, implementation maintenance of IT systems. Liaise with business users confidently to determine analyse business requirements, then propose, develop implement quick efficient solutions to meet these requirements. Ensure due diligence appropriate processes are followed when new systems are developed.

Setting up IT governance control model in APAC. Regular review of the systems plan a strategic solution for the business, demise the legacy systems. Lead a team of developers off-shores in the development of IT systems. Control concurrent projects resources that vary in scale complexity to meet changing objectives. Manage the relationship with businesses (in particular the Operation Manager…).

Manage mitigate project issues/risks closely follow action plans until closure. Provide accurate management reports periodically document project status. Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure that project deliverables are completed in a timely manner. Adapt follow-up with the internal company’s compliance and policies.

Main requirements:

• University degree in IT, Computer Sciences, Engineering or any related field
• Minimum 10 years of working experience
• Good People Management/ Team leading experience (proven track record) at least 5 people – AND good Project Management skills
• Strong RAD knowledge good background in an environment using: Ms Excel, Access, VB, VBA, relational database, SQL, .Net, C# and other Web Technologies
• Experiences on setting up governance and control model
• Effective relationship and stakeholder management skills
• Good knowledge of TREASURY products (including: Fixed Income, equities and derivatives…)
• Experience in vendor management
• Any experience in BA, software design, system support, and implementation will be an advantage for this role.
• Good PM, Communication, Interpersonal and Planning skills
• Able to operate effectively within a project team and adapt to a quickly changing working environment
• Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese
