Opportunity
MG are looking to recruit a Senior Microsoft C# / .Net Designer Developer to join the RAD Team within Information Systems.

The team is responsible for systems analysis, systems development and systems testing in support of successful delivery of projects across a wide variety of business areas from front to back office. The role will involve working on a day to day basis to assist with complex design and development solutions, help resolve complex and time-critical issues and actively engage individuals and teams to agree patterns and practices as well as set and measure quality standards across the team.

Key responsibilities
* To work alongside the Technical Leads and Development team as a whole to perform both hands on design and development and provide technical advice when required.
* Provide technical quality assurance and oversight across the team.
* Collaboration/interface with Architects and Tech Leads to define principals, design patterns, standards, solution approach.
* Assist with technical design and code QA.
* Interaction with other teams re required tooling and automation in support of quality and productivity.
* Consider and propose Operational Improvement options and initiatives.
* Interface with Support and Architecture to agree solution delivery methods, concepts, strategy alignment.
* Challenge and validate high level architectural assumptions.
* Work with Technical Leads and developers to create and maintain automated tests.
* Act as technical escalation point and technical resource for issue resolution for developers and Tech Leads.
* Address "Technical Debt", discuss options with the team and other interested parties and get the work onto appropriate backlogs.
* Work with key teams and the developers to agree and maintain a standard developer desk-top.
* Organise and participate at a team/factory "Developers Forum" where technical issues and ideas can be discussed.
* Assist with the technical on-boarding of 3rd party technical resources
* Provide additional design/development resource capability as required.
* Escalate issues as appropriate.

* Extensive experience of Microsoft Development Tools C#, .Net etc…
* SQL Server
* UI design patterns
