Rail Franchise Bid Team Member
Our client is a major transport organisation, currently involved in the rail franchise bidding process.
They currently require an additional team member in the Engineering workstream, to focus on rolling stock issues. The position will involve writing technical specifications for rolling stock, to be included in the bid submission to the DfT. In order to write these specifications, the position will involve liaison with both internal external contacts - typically with Roscos, Network Rail and other maintenance/rolling stock organisations to research the issues involved and help to formulate a rolling-stock strategy.
We are interested in experienced rolling stock engineers with strong technical expertise and strong written skills. Rail franchise bidding experience is advantageous, but not essential.
The position is likely to be three days per week for an initial three month period.
