Rates Client Clearing Analyst
A new exciting opportunity has become available for a high calibre individual to join the Sales assistant group of this top tier Investment bank based in London. The Sales Assistant Group, a function of within Global Operations are based on the trading floor and provides administrative support to multi asset class Sales desks across Europe. The team is also taking additional responsibilities within client clearing in line with new global regulatory requirements and the open role has been created to enable us to meet these requirements.
Main functions of the role involve:
- To gain a full understanding of end-to-end processes and controls in order to effectively mitigate risk and to suggest improvements to either of these.
- To monitor our pipeline of clients to ensure we can meet clearing go-live dates and assist in any trade processing required as part of client go-live.
- Managing large volumes of client data in order to monitor and communicate our pipeline to other teams.
- Liaise with internal teams to ensure all client Onboarding data is correct, this involves attending senior-level meetings with Front Office.
- Manage any backloading requirements to electronic platforms or clearing houses on a client-by-client basis and process trades accurately.
- Monitor our outstanding clearing population on a T0 basis to ensure all trades clear on time.
Skills and knowledge required:
- Excellent numerical and logical skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritise effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- The role will involve manipulating large amounts of client data, therefore advanced Excel is crucial and Access skills will be a benefit.
Experience preferred:
- Previous Markitwire IRD processing knowledge.
- Knowledge and understanding of the process and mechanisms for Clearing IRD trades.
- Understanding of changing regulatory environment within Rates.
- Strong Rates knowledge.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Confident and able to deal with demanding internal and external clients.
Candidates must either have been working within a Clearing or Rates Operations team within a large Investment Bank although Rates candidates from the main clearing houses will also be considered.
