Overview:

The Rates T+1 Team sits within Rates GBS and is primarily responsible for:

* Ensuring that the Balance Sheet and PL being reported by the Product Control function agrees to that flowing downstream to the systems used by the PL Reporting and Financial Control Teams.

* Providing Quality Assurance around the Core Rates PL. The role will analyse the PL produced by the T0 team challenge bookrunners Front Office for additional explanation when discrepancies occur.

A key focus of the Rates T+1 Team will be the development and automation of the Daily and Monthly reporting packs produced for downstream users, particularly Finance.

Key Responsibilities:

* Review and analysis of Deutsche Bank's European Rates PL to ensure the Middle Office produced PL meets all quality requirements.
* Foreign Exchange(FX) Exposure reporting to the Desk for daily hedging.
* Produce the daily monthly PL commentary across Core Rates, including analysis of market moves, understanding of existing risk positions new trade PL.
* Play a key role in the streamlining and automation of the daily and monthly PL reporting packs.
* Providing commentaries relating to any Buy Hold PL outliers to the Regulators.
* Performance of daily PL and Balance Sheet checks.
* Face off to Finance, Front Office downstream stakeholders as first point of contact for PL Commentary explanation of attribution.
* The role would suit an experienced bookrunner who is looking to expand their experience of micro managing a trading book apply their knowledge on a macro level to cover the European Rates Portfolio.

You will have:

* Practical experience in an Interest Rate Derivatives Middle Office or Product Control environment is essential.
* A good understanding and practical experience of the calculation of interest rate PL across a range of products will be required with a particular emphasis on the Greeks. You should also be able to understand market drivers and be able to tie them to PL moves.
* Strong Excel skills.

You will be:

* Required to be a conscientious self starter, with the ability to communicate effectively across multiple levels.
* Degree educated or equivalent.
