This leading Investment Bank is looking for a talented individual to join their Interest Rates Trade Support team which covers both flow and exotic products.
Directly supporting the Front office this is a wide ranging and challenging role requiring you to display a high level of technical product knowledge and an ability to work directly with traders to add value. Responsibilities will include trade entry, reconciliations, monitoring trade life cycle events as well as resolving any trade discrepancies with counterparties/BO/FO. This Middle Office team work proactively with the desk to understand new deals they are doing in order to anticipate booking and downstream implications. The team have the opportunity to get involved in new product reviews and actively contribute in new business initiatives, UAT and global projects. There will be plenty of opportunities for career development for those that do well and who can create a strong impression across Front and Middle office.
To qualify, individuals must possess:
- 2+ years Fixed Income Derivatives Middle Office experience from an Investment Bank
- Strong product knowledge across Interest Rate Swaps, Cross Currency Swaps, Overnight Index Swaps, Caps/ Floors
- Excellent analytical skills and an ability to quickly develop an understanding of the infrastructure and end to end process
- Multi-tasking skills and an ability to adapt in a fast paced, dynamic and changing team environment is essential
- Previous exposure facing off to the Front office, able to deal directly with traders in a confident manner
- Strong problem solving skills, able to add value rather than just accept the status quo
- Fluency in written and spoken English is essential
