An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a company which is well established and well respected food manufacturing business as a Raw Materials Manager / Quality Manager.
In this role Raw Materials Manager / Quality Manager you will be responsible for
The management sign off of raw materials risk assessments
Manage the raw material specifications ensuring sign off by Process Development for quality attributes and Technical for food safety ensuring compliance with all retailer requirements
Manage the approval of suppliers including supplier audits as necessary.
Develop a system for supplier performance appraisals and appropriate corrective actions as necessary
Design, develop and maintain a comprehensive raw materials database to enable accurate completion of finished product specifications and a speedy search in the event of internal or external incidences.
In order to fulfil this role it would be advantageous if you hold an Advanced Food Hygiene Certificate, a HACCP qualification, an Internal Auditors qualification and ideally experience working with high care food products within in-flight meals. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal are essential for this role as is being IT literate.
