R&D Formulation Scientist/Assistant / Laboratory Technician Job in London NW2 2AD
An exciting opportunity to join a pioneering and rapidly growing business. Pangaea Laboratories operates two divisions specialising in skincare and hair care, with distribution across over 40 countries.
We are seeking a loyal and dedicated individual with a strong work ethic. You will be working directly with NPD and working to extremely tight deadlines in order to meet the product roll out timelines for both brands.
Key responsibilities:
- Create formulation samples:
- Testing the solubility of new raw materials in different formulations. Making up samples for stability testing. Formulating samples to be sent for external testing e.g. in vitro experiments.
- Test samples :
- Stability
- Compatibility
- Ongoing observations:
- Organising a schedule and observing stability/compatibility tests with pictures, pH readings and viscosity tests where appropriate. Note down findings and help to research potential changes to formula.
- Managing lab and new raw materials:
- Collecting/scanning data on new raw materials. Maintaining equipment and lab working space.
- Support in-house RD projects
- Overseeing and assisting with production line formulations and blending
Successful candidates will.....
have a graduate degree in a relevant scientific discipline or equivalent. You will be able to demonstrate theoretical and practical knowledge of main formulation techniques.
