SUMMARY:
- The Project Manager (PM), Digital programs will be responsible for delivery and launch of digital products and services to the market via cross functional project team coordination while following company's Global Innovation Process.
- The scope and scale of projects will range from minor functional enhancements to breakthrough products and systems ranging from imaging software to web-based applications. New innovations will be developed internally and in collaboration with external partners and suppliers across the globe.
- The PM will lead project teams consisting of representatives from RD, Software Engineering, Marketing, Dental Laboratory, Quality, Regulatory, Operations, Finance and Manufacturing.
- The PM will be responsible for organizing cross functional team activities which include project schedule creation, project meetings, publishing detailed minutes consisting of action items and deliverables, while monitoring progress against the schedule.
- The PM will monitor team progress, ensuring that required technical interfaces to support the project are included to support the completion of project tasks and meeting project goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partners with Marketing and Clinical Development functions to deeply understand the application and end use of family of digital products and services in dental industry
- Manages/leads next generation digital programs in a global environment
- Works closely with Marketing, RD and Clinical groups to perform Voice-of-the-Customer (VoC) research, and translates VoC into functional specifications
- Reviews and approves project team deliverables to ensure quality (design walk-through, VV test plan and reports, software architecture, design documents, test results, etc.) while adhering to standards/regulatory requirements
- Participates in the research, analysis, selection, and implementation of new tools, technologies and/or services
- Provides strategic input for digital solutions based on business and technical knowledge
- Aligns project(s) to the global product development strategy and ensures compliance to company's Global Innovation Process and divisional level procedures
- Creates, implements and tracks detailed project schedule(s)
- Conducts project meetings, and design reviews, publishes project action items and meeting minutes which track deliverables and open items
- Creates and maintains Project File / (DHF)
- Prepares project budget and forecast
- Supports and participates with management during internal and external audits / inspections as needed
REQUIREMRNTS:
- BS in Computer/Software
- 5-10+ years related discipline and applicable software development work experience in a medical/dental/pharma industry.
- An advanced degree may be substituted for lesser industry experience.
- PMP certification through PMI and Certified Software Business Analyst are a plus
- Willing to travel and work in a global environment.
- Expertise in Project Management, and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) management
- In depth knowledge/understanding of imaging software and web-based applications
- Knowledgeable in programming languages, and software design and architecture
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex software problems with minimal assistance, while drawing inputs from multiple and varied functions (i.e. Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Clinical Development, etc.)

RD Lead Software Engineer

POSITION SUMMARY:
- Lead Software Engineer, Digital Programs, will be a key resource in the RD organization that will explore, develop and deliver innovative digital technology based healthcare solutions in alignment with the healthcare franchise strategic direction and operational priorities. The incumbent will pioneer the next generation digital technologies and solutions by developing a deep understanding of customer needs and translating them into functional specifications and ultimately developing software solutions.
- As a key member of the Research and Development team, the Lead Software Engineer will lead technical activities related to development and execution of software specifications, risk management, architecture, design documents, and Verification and Validation for the digital technologies. The scope of the work will be of a complex technical nature requiring adoption of new technologies and application of best practices in software development life cycle (SDLC).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- As a technical lead, designs, develops, implements and supports advanced and diverse digital solutions that address complex business requirements, while following SDLC and company's Global Innovation processes for multiple small to large scale projects
- Works closely with Marketing and Clinical group to perform Voice-of-the-Customer (VoC) research, and translates VoC into functional specifications and design documents
- Develops, reviews and approves software architecture and Verification and Validation (VV) test plan, while adhering to standards and regulatory requirements
- Generates all the applicable software documentation; participates in design reviews associated with each product development phase including system level reviews and FMEAs
- Specifies all hardware and software tools required for software development related to assigned projects
- In collaboration with the sales and marketing teams, provides support for :
- Users manuals
- Marketing materials to support product commercialization
- Internal Training material
- Training Key Opinion Leaders, marketing and sales force on digital software products
- Participates in post-installation application reviews and product support activities
- Champions software quality process improvements that impact the business via use of best industry practices (six sigma design methodologies preferred)
- Contributes to the creation and maintenance of Design History Files
- Supports and participates with management during internal and external audits / inspections as needed
- Maintains close liaison with the sales and marketing functions and end customers, as related to application reviews, new product requirements, major modifications of existing products, customer prototype qualification test requirements and resolving product performance deficiencies
REQUIREMENTS:
