RD Tax Manager
Our client is fast becoming a leading provider of RD Tax services inIreland. With a growing team of dedicated specialists the firm advise a broad range of clients from SMEs to Multinationals across all industry sectors.
Reporting to the Head of RD Tax this role is suited to an ambitious professional seeking to develop a profile within the market as an RD Specialist and the drive to progress in practice.
Responsibilities:
- Work in a cross functional team
- Complete RD tax credit claims for small, medium and large companies
- Responsible for managing a significant portfolio of RD compliance and advisory clients
- Researching and resolving tax technical RD related queries from clients
- Liaising with Revenue - particularly with RD tax audits
- Drafting technical reports detailing qualifying RD projects
- Develop an understanding of scientific and engineering technical requirements of the Irish RD tax incentive regime.
- Successfully developing and managing client relationships
- Take an active role in leadership for the team of Seniors and trainees
Requirements:
- Qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA) and member of the Irish Taxation Institute or equivalent
- Strong technical knowledge of tax and preferable RD related tax legislation
- 3-4 years professional tax experience. Ideally 1-2 years at manager grade or equivalent.
- Excellent team leading, interpersonal and communication skills
Background:
Suitable candidates may be coming from a corporate or personal tax department with some exposure to RD tax and a desire to specialise. Candidates experienced in a jurisdiction with similar RD tax legislation are also of interest. Tax qualified professionals with a scientific background or primary degree are also of significant interest.
