Job Summary 
Baker Hughes is looking for a senior RDD Scientist with a background in math or physics, preferably both; Ph.D or M.Sc degree, strong analytical engineering skills with in depth understanding of wellbore positioning and familiar with inertial navigational sensors and methods; hands on hardware development experience is a plus.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
Successful candidate will plan, conduct and direct research/development work on complex projects necessitating the origination and application of new and unique approaches. Recognized internally as an expert in one or more disciplines. Projects involve moderate capital expenditures. May be the lead scientist on challenging projects with some functional supervision.  May participate in vendor interface. Plans, conducts and supervises assignments. Reviews progress and evaluates results. May supervise personnel. May represent the organization in outside discussions and technical forums. May work closely with sales to support customer.  Operates with broader latitude in making autonomous decisions. Helps develop scientific techniques to solve problems and makes sound recommendations. Has significant impact on patent analysis and submission. Handles special projects, as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Scientific discipline with 12 + years experience or Master's Degree and 8+ yrs experience or Ph.D and 6-8 yrs experience

Ability to resolve complex problems with broad scope
Advanced analytical skills
 Ability to communicate well individually and in team environment
Advanced knowledge of sciences
Hands on hardware development experience is a plus.
