SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Lead and direct teams responsible for the delivery of the Adult Fem Care capital projects, the development and implementation of materials necessary for innovative product solutions, and the technology associated with the high speed manufacturing of relevant products.

This position is responsible for working in alignment with the vision of outsourced resource utilization plan. A key deliverable is our ability to work effectively with external contractors and standardization of practice across the Personal Care facilities. This involves developing tools, processes, and organizational structures to drive RE effectiveness. This position requires the ability to influence and manage change with teams at staff, plants, and our external service providers across Personal Care.

Lead the Life Cycle Maximization (LCM) optimization efforts for the AFC Sector. Ongoing management of technical resources in collaboration with Procurement, Product Supply and the Business Team to meet cost, productivity and brand equity objectives of commercialized solutions is required for total product life cycle support within the platform. This position must also lead the Material technology development for next generation products to support the Adult Fem Care Product Migration Plans for global markets. In addition, collaboration and strategic program direction is provided to other organizations such as: Global Nonwovens, Corporate Research and Engineering, Procurement, External Suppliers/Vendors, as well as Baby Child Care OEM, Material Platform, and LCM teams.

ORGANIZATION: People Responsibilities/ reporting line/partnerships

The incumbent reports to the L4 Adult Fem Care RE leader.
? Direct reports include : LCM, Materials, and Engineering Managers and Technical Leaders
? Collaborates with: Regional and Global Adult Fem Care Leadership, MRA, Marketing, Product Supply, Mill Management, Global Nonwovens, RE Horizontal Leaders, Project Management Teams, Human Resources, Legal, Regulatory and KC Senior Leadership.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

? Ensure the effective execution of Life Cycle Maximization, Engineering, and Material efforts to deliver business plans within the Platform
? Working with vertical sector leadership, set investment strategies for RE efforts within Platform
? Support Brand Champions to deliver P/L expectations
? Deploy internal RE resources to deliver short- and long-term business results and define technology development plans within the Platform
? Manage people and financial resources effectively to deliver business plans within the Platform
? Ensure the appropriate and effective protection for proprietary information
? Support the implementation of business practices within the RE organization including IMF, portfolio management, and resource management within Platform and collaborate across Platforms
? Ensure all work complies with corporate safety, regulatory, product safety and sustainability requirements. Interface effectively with the other work stream teams, Product Supply and Marketing, as well as the strategy development team to ensure effective and efficient creation and execution of business plans
? Support customer facing initiatives to optimize business results
? Manage talent to consistently improve RE capabilities

DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC/NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Develop and administer RE investment plans within defined Portfolio Role of the Platform.
2. Manage the selection, development, and utilization of human resources to meet program needs and succession plans within the Platform.
3. Ensure that work is properly documented and reported to provide effective communication, protection of inventions, and compliance with applicable K-C internal controls and applicable laws and regulations.
4. Establish and maintain working conditions and employee safety attitudes in research and engineering which will ensure that each K-C employee is able to safely perform his/her job at all times.
5. Other duties which may be assigned by superior to meet business needs with or without accommodation.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education required/ preferred: This position typically requires technical knowledge and ability associated with a Science or Engineering degree.
The incumbent must have previous successful high level RE management experience, proven leadership skills, ability to delegate responsibility and authority, and vision with perspective to provide direction for continual product and technology developments.
Experience: 1. Extensive and broad managerial experience in a research, engineering, manufacturing or other technical function with demonstrated results and strength in leadership.
2. Close working relationships with Business Teams, Marketing, Legal and Manufacturing functions
3. Generally 15+ years experience in increasingly broader technical or operational roles with demonstrated track record of achievement and growth in leadership.
