Reading Specialist Job in Plymouth, Massachusetts Us
Essential Functions:
-Provide individualized and small group reading instruction.
-Provide reading consultation to the classroom team.
-Ability to work as a productive member of the instructional team to maximize student outcomes.
-Develop units of instruction that are aligned with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks.
-Write reports, develop IEP's, and/or maintain data collection employing research-based best practice strategies to demonstrate student progress and adjust student goals.
-Collaborate with regular education staff to develop appropriate inclusionary programs for students.
-Work with expert consultants to develop effective support systems for students.
-Develop positive relationships with families.
-Ability to work as a productive member of the instructional team to maximize student outcomes.
-Ability to recognize the need for and to provide assistance to students in an appropriately active classroom setting.
-Ability to provide support to students in inclusionary general education settings.
-Other student-related assigned responsibilities as needed, including 1:1 assistance.
QUALIFICATIONS: Licensure in Special Education PreK-8 or 5-12
Certification in a multi-modal Reading program.
