Real Estate Accountant: Fluent in German & English Job in Luxembourg

Responsibilities:

Financial Accounting

Outsourced accounting:
*Assist external administrators with preparation of accounting entries as well as encoding of incoming invoices;
*Maintain interest calculation schedules;
*Maintain depreciation schedules;
*Review of accruals and provisions;
*Intercompany reconciliations and advise administration department on intercompany settlements where applicable;
*Quarterly review of accounting records prepared by external administrators;
*Quarter-end reconciliations.

In-house accounting:
* Day to day accounting for various companies:
- Bank statements;
- Incoming invoices;
- Outgoing invoices;
- Accruals and provisions.
* Preparation of annual reporting packages;
* Preparation of financial statements.

Administration General

* Preparation of periodical German VAT returns;
* Review, filing and follow up of information provided by property managers;
* Update and coding of cash books;
* Assistance with preparation of monthly cash flows;
* Assistance with information packages for lending banks;
* Preparation of financial information/analysis as required;
* Preparation of outgoing invoices where applicable;
* Correspondence;
* General administrative tasks.

Assistance year end reporting process / audit process

* Review of annual reporting packages prepared by external administrators;
* Assist with consolidation process;
* Liaise with external auditors;
* Preparation of ad hoc reports / reconciliations.

Profile

- Degree in accounting ("Bilanzbuchhalter" / "Steuerfachangestellter" / ACCA or
similar);
- 3 years relevant professional experience;
- Fluent in German and English. French is an advantage;
- Proficient user of MS Office and accounting software;
- Excellent organisation skills;
- Team player;
- Goal oriented and hands on mentality.
