JOB TITLE: Real Estate Analyst About The Company Headquartered in Cary, North Carolina, The Pantry, Inc. is the leading independently operated convenience store chain in the southeastern United States and one of the largest independently operated convenience store chains in the country. As of December 6, 2010, the Company operated 1,672 stores in thirteen states under select banners, including Kangaroo Express?, its primary operating banner. The Pantry's stores offer a broad selection of merchandise, as well as gasoline and other ancillary services designed to appeal to the convenience needs of its customers. Job Description Primary responsibility is to ensure accurate and justifiable valuations of Pantry-owned commercial properties. Analyzes current markets and provides data to support valuations. Provides key liaison with internal and external partners regarding valuations. Scope/Key Responsibilities 1. Values assets based upon current market factors. 2. Provides liaison with external partners regarding the basis for our valuations. 3. Modifies and restructures lease terms and conditions to maximize enterprise value for assigned portfolio. 4. Performs other job-related tasks and projects as assigned. Required Experience ? 1-2 years experience in commercial real estate/lease negotiation, including familiarity with various types and formats for lease agreements ? Proven success in building effective teams ? Exceptional communication skills and proven ability to cultivate long term client relationships ? High degree of business acumen ? Requires occasional travel (up to 20%). Must have valid state driver?s license Degree Requirements Bachelor of Arts Discipline Bachelor?s Degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent combination of formal education and experience-based learning. Physical Requirements * Physical Demands: Work requires frequent sitting, standing, walking and use of keyboard/computer. Work requires occasional bending, reaching and lifting/moving up to 35 pounds. Work is subject to tight deadlines and interruptions can be stressful.
