Real Estate Department Supervisor Job in Katy 77494, Texas US

This position is responsible for supervision of the credit union’s real estate lending and servicing processes and the real estate department staff. This individual will also function as a mortgage loan officer.  The position reports directly to the Vice President of Lending.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to, interviewing real estate loan applicants and underwriting applications for approval or presentation to the loan committee; assuring department’s compliance with real estate lending policies, procedures and regulations; communicating real estate lending policies and procedures with staff; assisting in the recruitment, hiring, coaching and training of real estate lending staff; analyzing and completing monthly and quarterly reports; oversight of servicing of real estate loans including escrow account activity and analysis; conducting on-sight inspections for mortgage, interim construction, home equity and home improvement loans; supporting foreclosure and other real estate loan related legal processes as needed; implementation, over-site and completion of projects as needed.

 

Education and Experience Requirement:

            - Bachelor degree preferred.

            - Previous real estate lending preferred.

 

This position requires knowledge of all areas of real estate lending, related policies and procedures, and the back office processes that support those services. A strong knowledge of lending principles and basic financial analysis is also required. A high degree of integrity, accuracy and attention to detail is expected.  This person must have a commitment to member service and staff support/development and be able to interface with members and staff in a manner that demonstrates that commitment.
