Location: The Hague (Netherlands)
About the department
Real Estate (RE) manage a portfolio of commercial property transactions (acquisitions, disposals, major lease negotiations) and / or construction, development and refurbishment projects, as well as real estate consultancy services within EMEA for a range of Shell businesses.
We have a large and varied property portfolio including offices, business service centers, refineries, depots and terminals, residential including camps and compounds, gas installations, pipelines and hotel and leisure sites across the region.
It’s the ideal opportunity for a Corporate Real Estate professional to join one of the largest companies in the world to commence/continue their client-side experience
Responsibilities:
RE is mandated to deliver a top-quartile property footprint, and we partner with the Shell businesses to develop business and regional property portfolio plans and to manage the complex programme of projects and transactions aimed a driving a more efficient footprint for the 1,600+ commercial properties in our region.
Main responsibilities will include the following:
• Delivery of projects and transactions which may be complex and / or significant;
• Accountability for complex negotiations both as an individual and as part of wider team activity;
• Provision of key input into Portfolio Plan feasibility studies through detailed knowledge of your property portfolio;
• Management of the delivery of projects through regional service provider;
• Management of the delivery of proceeds and operational cost savings in accordance with the RE plan.
Requirements:
• You’ll have experience in working in Europe, Middle East and Africa, as well as the UK and ideally have a professionally recognised qualification (eg RICS or similar).
• Exposure to a corporate real estate environment is essential, as is hands-on project and transaction experience. In addition you’ll have demonstrable ability to engage and work with senior business leaders.
Mobility across the region to cover short or medium term assignments would also be desirable
