Real Estate Specialist
The responsibilities of the Real Estate Specialist will be to:
Provide real estate advice to UK-domiciled and international UHNW clients who want to sell or invest in UK assets; focus on commercial real estate in the UK, primarily central London:
o Advise clients and prospects on their real estate holdings
o Pitch and execute real estate MA transactions (focus on sell side)
o Connect with UK real estate community (e.g. brokers, financing providers)
Build a solid client base and deal pipeline
o Build and actively manage relationships with UBS client advisors, clients and prospects
o Develop a strong pipeline of real estate transactions within your client base
Work closely with the Head of Real Estate, Wealth Management in the UK to
o Act as a point of entry for direct real estate-related inquiries
o Coordinate effort with other real estate specialists in CAG Europe (and Global)
o Liaise with real estate specialists within UBS Investment Bank and Global Asset Management
o Help drive the real estate initiative
o Set up and manage appropriate database requirements
Requirements:
The successful candidate will have the following:
o In depth experience and knowledge of the UK real estate market, with a focus on central London commercial real estate
o Proven experience in – ideally both – direct and indirect real estate
o Proven experience in client relationship management
o Highly professional, personable and discreet
o Excellent communication, presentation and sales skills
o Self motivated with high levels of personal initiative
o Sufficiently confident to take full client responsibility at an early stage
o Ability to work independently within a team
o Good understanding of real estate and corporate finance
o Ideally FSA registered
It is likely that the successful candidate will have had direct real estate experience as either an agent or principal, is likely to be (but not a pre-requisite) a qualified Chartered Surveyor and with subsequent experienced gained in a finance-related real estate discipline such as consultancy, corporate finance, accounting or fund management.
