Reporting to the Director of Quality, the Receiving Auditor inspects incoming materials used in the production of products.
Specifically, the Receiving Auditor:
- Performs dimensional, visual, plating and hardness inspection on incoming components, assemblies, subassemblies.
- Tests and inspects materials using specialized equipment, e.g., microscope, X-ray machine, Knoop hardness tester, optical comparator, spring force tester, pull tester, calipers, digital micrometer, wire crimpers, wire strippers, dimple crimpers, spin crimpers, and gauge pins.
- Maintains an accurate record of inspections, non-conforming products, shop documents, lot codes, hold for disposition forms, and transfer slips.
- Consistently improves current inspection processes and procedures.
- Is quality conscious and aware of production requirements.
Additional duties which may be required:
May assist with cross-training of other staff. May perform additional functions in absence of regular employee or when not occupied with above functional responsibilities. When needed, assist in receiving products in the door. May perform additional functions, as management deems necessary.
Qualifications include:
- High school graduate or GED
- One (1) year experience in Quality Assurance in a manufacturing environment or strong product knowledge
- Computer skills and the ability to read prints
- Basic clerical skills and technical ability
- Knowledge of Quality Assurance processes and procedures
- Ability to follow detailed written or verbal instructions and ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
- Ability to work with others
- Ability to provide exceptional service to internal and external customers
- Ability to perform tasks in an efficient and timely manner
- Ability to meet productivity standards
