Job Description/ Requirements:
The primary function of this role is to greet guests and visitors and direct incoming calls and answer questions.  This objective is to be achieved always in such a way that positively affects the client’s or visitor’s perception or call/visit experience on a consistent basis.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1.  Answer all incoming calls and maintain a rapid response rate to either connect the caller to the desired department/employee or provide information needed.  This includes directing calls to all of our office locations.  Some research may be required to find the caller the correct employee, e.g. search a project data base for the project manager.
2.  Greet all visitors to the Columbus offices in a helpful, congenial manner.  Offer items for their comfort and provide any directions or assistance needed.  This includes groups of guests arriving, e.g. training or events hosted at the facility. 
3.  Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, using professional and courteous mannerisms.
4.  Communicate and liaise verbally and in writing between clients, suppliers, guests, inquirers and relevant company staff.  Interpret and respond politely and effectively to spoken requests over the phone or in person and to verbal or written instructions, using appropriate English and grammar.
5.  Develop and communicate a schedule for other administrative staff to provide lunchtime back up and other breaks as needed.
6.  Log or record information, as required, and maintain accurate records.  Records include courier service log, company vehicle usage maintenance log.  Maintain knowledge of current, active workforce, department, department function, and reporting relationships.
7.  Operate a variety of standard office machines, including two personal computers at front desk, facimile, telephone receiver headset, etc.  May be asked to assist other departments with routine clerical tasks if needed.
8.  Provide administrative assistance to the Survey department and the department vice president.  This will include, but not limited to, typing correspondence, preparing 2-4 page survey proposals, creating copies, pdf’s, making meeting arrangements, confirming appointments with employees and clients, and other general administrative duties as assigned.
9.  Maintain regular consistent attendance, punctuality, personal professional appearance and adherence to relevant health and safety procedures.

Required Software: Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel. 
Experience/Education:  High school diploma and 1-2 years experience in a professional business environment.
Salary Range: $15.00
