Recognised supermarket chain is seeking a strong group technical accountant

The role will encompass all aspects of technical accounting, including producing templates for group financial statements under UK GAAP alongside working with advisor in dealing with compliance processes. You will liaise with external auditors, timetable planning and technical matters. Alongside this you will also be supporting the month end management accounts process and reporting directly to the financial controller who in turn is reporting into the MD and CFO, whilst dealing with ad-hoc accounting queries from the business unit and head office.
The successful candidate should be a qualified ACA/CA or CIMA accountant with a meticulous eye for detail, preferably with experience working for blue chip companies. You should have experience of working under IFRS and UK GAAP, with Navision and SAP systems experience preferred.
