Reconciliations Analyst – Finance recruitment

The successful applicant will be an integral member in the Finance Business Services (FBS) group being responsible for Notional reconciliations.
The FBS team is responsible for the month end close process for inter-entity notional balances, including the monitoring and clearance of inter-entity notional breaks.
The need for a new Notional reconciliation team has been identified to change the way UBS reports its notionals. This will involve identifying new methods of break identification and reconciliation
As part of the Notional process the role entails the following:
Month end related:
- Ensuring all inter-entity notional balances are matched by both parties;
- Performing detailed reconciliations to identify trade breaks within a notional relationship;
- Performing Level 1 matching of all trades highlighting those which require further investigations and/or journals to clear the breaks.
- Logging any issues which require further investigation intra month end;
- Working with Inter-Entity controllers to deliver Month End close.
Intra month end (Project work):
- Follow up on inter-entity issues which occurred over month end to ensure tactical and strategic solutions are put into place to resolve the break for future month ends;
- Liaise with Change and Run the Bank teams in order to introduce and develop reconciliations
- Reporting to management on resolution of issues
- Creating and enhancing reconciliations through Access Databases.
Requirements
- Detailed knowledge of applications such as Microsoft Excel and Access.
- Accounting knowledge required.
- A full understanding of the front-to-back information flows for Notionals and Derivative balance sheet products.
Training will include on-the-job experience, on-line courses and structured lecture room classes to improve product knowledge.
