Reconciliations and Controls Analyst

Macquarie's business is structured into six operating groups and four service groups.
Corporate Operations Group provides essential and professional services across all areas of Macquarie. The group sets and maintains high standards and is continually developing operating efficiencies and setting industry benchmarks in service delivery. It is comprised of Market Operations, Human Resources, Business Services, Business Improvement and Strategy, COG Business Management and Technology.
Macquarie's Corporate Operations Group is currently seeking to appoint a Reconciliation and Control analyst to join our newly created Houston based team. The successful candidate will be working with a small but growing team, responsible for reconciliation production, review and reporting in addition to assisting in various projects and ad-hoc requests. The role will cover reconciliation and customer service for the banks America's and European businesses including the Macquarie Securities Group, Fixed Income Currency and Commodities, Banking and Financial Services, and the US Self Clearing Business, as well as providing support to the Global Nostro Reconciliations team.
You will be responsible for:
- Production of business aligned reconciliations, expectations including;
- Front to back understanding of business and process flows,
- Exception management, resolution and reporting,
- Complete documentation and support for each business task
- Client Service
- Working with operational systems and liaising between the business and IT to provide control solutions
- Providing Finance and Regulatory teams with details required for regulatory reporting
- Help Implement new business controls
- Nostro support and investigations
To be successful in this role you will have:
- 1 - 3 years of operations control experience with an investment bank or broking house in the US Finance Industry
- Fixed Income and/or Equities product knowledge and experience
- Experience working with reconciliation systems (ie.. TLM, Intellimatch, Corona or other similar automation tools)
- Strong Microsoft Application skills (including vlookups, pivot tables and macros)
- Be highly motivated, professional and possess a strong attention to detail
- A desire to work in a flat structured collaborative team environment
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Experience operating in an environment with multiple business areas
