Reconciliations Assistant

A successful business in the financial services industry are looking for a Reconciliations Assistant to assist the Controller in ensuring that clients' funds are dealt with correctly according to insolvency and FCA regulations.

Your duties will include the following:

Reconciliation of complex, high volume transactions
Investigating differences and making adjustments
Posting receipt and payment transactions to clients’ accounts
Calculating and posting fees
Dealing with all aspects of the Direct Debit process
Approving refunds and creating banking transfers
Dealing with queries
Involvement in IT projects and User Acceptance Testing
Completing any other tasks as requested

Applicants must have a financial background along with experience of dealing with a high volume of complex reconciliations. You will also have strong MS Excel skills and some exposure to double entry bookkeeping.
