Record Coordinator / 12-2661

Position Description:

40|86 Advisors is currently looking for an Record Coordinator. In this role you will be actively managing records functions for each department and advising staff on the management of their records and information.

What you will be doing:

•Assisting with the creation and documentation of the departmental file plans, which will be used to organize and share department documents
•Preparing 40|86 physical documents for off-site storage
•Actively participating with CNO Central Records department and 40|86 IS in projects that involve records management or data retention issues
•Functioning as a local subject-matter expert for associates in their area/department on business records procedures
•Educating associates on the department file plan and record and information keeping requirements
•Assisting legal with collection of documents for legal holds; conducting searches
•Escalating record management issues, questions and concerns to CNO Central Records department and/or 40|86 IS to resolve
•Recommending changes to the Record Retention Schedule within departments at 40|86
•Knowledgeable of the business-related records stored on admin systems (G: drive) used by their department and how retention of those documents is maintained and purged
•Assisting with the auditing of department’s compliance with CNO enterprise guidelines and 40|86 department file plan

What you need to have:
•Bachelor’s degree
•1-3 years experience
