FLEXIBLE HOURS: Some days 10a-7p; coverage will be needed to cover West Coast interviews and recruiting.
Job Overview:
This position is focused on attracting premier professional candidates utilizing successful recruiting channels. The Recruiter will work with the hiring managers, Select, review and forward prospective candidates for review. They will also conduct HR fit phone interviews with candidates along with coordinating assessments and functional interviews working directly with the business units.
Job Responsibilities:
- Post openings to appropriate Internet sources, Review resumes and evaluate if they meet the position requirements, conducting interviews, and recommending candidates.
Monitor Job Requisitions
- Contact the hiring manager for additional information for an approve requisition.
- Edit and post the job requisition as a job posting and any other applicable major job boards.
- Contacts local state employment offices with notification of job posting as necessary,
- Utilize Social Networking sites to identify potential candidates
- Manages the flow and status of candidates
- Hide job posting from view and/or close the requisition when appropriate.
- Notify and update the Corporate Professional Staffing Supervisor on any job requisition exceptions (ex: hard to fill jobs, aging requisitions, etc ...).
Select and Review Candidates
- Select candidates and review resume, identifying those having the basic qualifications for the job.
- Send identified candidates to Corporate Business Development to identify potential best fit candidates.
- Forward selected resumes to hiring manager for review.
- Follow up with Hiring manager on selected candidates.
Screen Candidates Coordinate Interview and Assessment Process
- Conduct a HRfit phone interview with the candidates to aid in the selection of the right talent for the right positions within the company.
- Coordinate all necessary assessments with the local HR contact.
- Coordinate the functional interviews with the hiring manager.
- Follow up with hiring manager on interview results.
Manage Requisition Process
- Monitors the sourcing process to ensure hiring needs are met timely.
- Conducts candidate sourcing to ensure requisition needs are promptly filled with quality candidates
- Evaluates recruiting and interviewing processes and makes recommendations for process improvements.
- Monitors employment processing to confirm UPS's compliance with local government and other requirements.
- Develops recruiting relationships as needed.
Job Qualifications:
- Professional Recruiting experience
- Knowledge of federal and state laws regarding employment practices
- Ability to work independently
- Organizes work
- Meets deadlines in a fast paced environment
- Adaptability to perform multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Access.
