As part of the SNC-Lavalin group of companies, SNC-Lavalin T D designs, develops, and delivers engineering, including system planning and studies, procurement, and construction solutions for high voltage power transmission line and substation projects from our Canadian, United States and International office locations.

 

SNC-Lavalin T D has an exciting temporary full time career opportunity for a Recruiter based out of our offices in Vancouver, Calgary or Toronto. You will support the overall recruitment process by being directly responsible for attracting, sourcing and screening candidates for a wide variety of positions within specified client groups.

 

 

 

Ø  Work closely with hiring managers to assess their recruitment needs based on workforce plans.

Ø  Ensure recruitment processes and procedures support the business objectives.

Ø  Effectively understand job requisitions to ensure attraction of appropriate talent.

Ø  Implement effective and innovative techniques for identifying new talent including: internet searches, social media, talent campaigns, cold-calling and networking.

Ø  Continually develop specialized candidate pools by screening resumes over the phone.

Ø  Utilize candidate pipelines to maintain up to date talent pools and maximize the efficiency and timeliness of the recruitment process.

Ø  Source candidates using several methods and writing and posting positions on a variety of sites.

Ø  Screen and maintain applicant tracking tool.

Ø  Conduct interviews, coordinate reference checks and finalize job offers.

Ø  Define and implement process improvements to enhance the recruitment process.

 

 

Qualifications for the position include:

 

Ø  A College diploma or University degree in Human Resources or related area of study.

Ø  5-7 years experience in recruitment and selection.

Ø  Proven ability in attracting new talent and managing candidate pipelines.

Ø  Exceptional computer and systems skills, with a strong knowledge of MS Office Software, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Ø  Previous experience working within fast-paced, dynamic, direct recruit methods and complex hiring processes.

Ø  Extremely detail oriented and thorough with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Ø  Strong interpersonal and communication (both written and oral) skills.

Ø  Experience working in a project-oriented EPC environment is desirable.

Ø  Self-starter and able to work in a team environment or independently as required.

Ø  Ability to deal with competing priorities and be able to manage time appropriately.

Ø  A person who is a quick processor and brings a positive and high-energy approach to getting things done

Ø  Action and results oriented, while able to maintain a broader perspective

Ø  Demonstrates strong listening skills, with a focus on eliciting and interpreting requirements

Ø  Able to handle confidential information with exceptional discretion

Ø  Excellent relationship management and customer service skills
