Recruiter/Human Resources Generalist
Sound Credit Union, a dynamic, progressive-minded state chartered credit union is seeking is seeking a highly motivated, experienced Recruiter/Human Resource Generalist to perform necessary HR duties with a focus on Recruiting and Training. Sound Credit Union has over $1B in assets, a membership base of over 100,000, and 21 branches throughout King, Pierce, Snohomish, and Thurston counties. Position is housed at the Corporate Headquarters in Downtown Tacoma.
Responsibilities include recruitment and selection functions; new hire orientation, and training/presentations. The ideal candidate will have experience in recruiting, have a strong ability to multi-task, ability to work in a fast paced environment, ability to work independently as well as part of a close team, strong retention in learning, and ability to follow instructions, attention to detail, strong communication and writing skills, ability to speak comfortably in groups, superior organizational skills, and owning responsibilities.
Qualified candidate must have two to five years human resources experience with emphasis on recruiting and employee development/training preferred. Two years of financial institution experience desired. A bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resource /Management or related field. An equivalent combination of education and work experience which provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the job is acceptable. Knowledge and/or familiarity of the disciplines within the field of Human Resources, specifically recruiting/hiring, and training. Knowledge and/or familiarity of federal and state laws pertaining to Human Resources administration. Must be bondable.
