Position Description
Position Summary
Principal duties are directed towards growth business by recruiting new agents and agencies and then assisting them to meet their sales objectives.
Organizational Relationships
Reports to:
§ Manager, Sales Marketing
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Recruiting 70%
§ Recruit new agents to the company.
§ Recruit new agencies to the company.
§ Assist current managers with recruiting programs.
§ Travel as required.
Training 25%
§ Conduct training for new agents and agencies on the company’s products, illustration system and procedures.
§ Promote product awareness and conduct training on product concepts for Agents.
§ Assist with training and sales systems to remain current (scripts, manuals, illustration software, brochures, and sales materials).
§ Conduct recruiting training programs.
Perform other duties as assigned 5%
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
The mental and physical requirements for successful performance of this job are:
§ Ability to read, analyze and interpret the most complex documents.
§ Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
§ Ability to write speeches, reports, letters and articles using original or innovative techniques or styles.
§ Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topic to top management, public groups and/or Boards.
§ Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with internal and external customers.
§ Ability to solve a variety of technical problems and be very detail oriented.
§ Knowledge of insurance products, services, and terminology.
Education, Training and Experience
· Requires a college degree or equivalent.
· Has attained CLU; LUTCF; or FIC.
· Five to ten years working in a life insurance agency environment.
· Experience working as a field agent.
· Valid insurance license.

The visual requirement of this job is similar to those classified as machine operators, inspection, close assembly, clerical and administrative. This is a minimum standard for use with those whose work deals largely with preparing and analyzing data and figures, accounting transcription, computer terminal, extensive reading, visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, operation of machines (including inspection), using measurement devices, assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.

Equipment and Tools
· Ability to proficiently operate office equipment, including computer, printer, adding machine, fax machine, copy machine, and multi-line telephone.
