RECRUITMENT LEAD

Reporting into the Director of HR, our client expects a top quality candidate who is used to a very fast paced organization. We are not looking for clock watchers, we expect someone who is committed to his/her career, and loves the satisfaction of a job well done!
Responsibilities for the chosen candidate:
- Developing and delivering consistent trade recruiting procedures and processes-this includes assisting management with development interview guidelines, preparing job descriptions and posting jobs properly
- Developing and implementing new marketing strategies to identify and attract top talent to meet organizational needs
- Client relationship building-working closely with new and existing clients to foster those much needed relationships, as well as working closely with internal management to ensure overall satisfaction!
- Following collective agreement terms/ policies/guidelines and is familiar with processes
- Weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting on a variety of workforce statistics including but not limited to: demographic statistics, forecasting, ratios, and geographic location of hires;
- Monitoring the company's various trade recruitment process to determine key performance indicators ie. Time to fill, quality of candidate, cost of hire, retention)
- Developing and maintaining a strong understanding of the Collective Agreement, Supplementary Agreements and pre-jobs including wage schedules, and interpretations;
- Providing Labour Relations solutions in consultation with HR Manager to our sites by working collaboratively with the CLAC union representatives
- Developing and implementing the company's Apprenticeship Management Program, including monthly statistics, and deliverables
- Ownership of the Applicant Tracking System as a recruitment attraction and selection processes including training/assistance of hiring managers and HR team as required
- Liaise with CLAC for all craft related administration such as dispatching, benefits, short term disability and Ceridian Referrals
- Assist in the development and stewardship towards the recruitment budget including agency engagement and spends
- Provide back-up to other HR team members when needed
- Informal leadership responsibilities through coaching other HR team members through the craft recruitment process
- Travel-at least a few times a month, within Alberta mainly
Qualifications to be considered for the role:
- Five plus years of recruitment experience, with craft recruiting experience a must!
- Exposure to behavioral interviewing principles and techniques
- High energy personality-someone who is upbeat and personable as well!
- Excellent attention to detail and proven organizational skills in order to meet multiple deadlines at all times
- strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Proven ability to deal appropriately with confidential information and sensitive issues
- Well developed interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Exposure to industrial construction and trade unions, specifically the Christian Labour Association of Canada (CLAC) would be an asset
- Post-secondary Degree/Diploma/Certificate in Business Administration or Human Resources from an accredited post-secondary institute preferred
- Registered Professional Recruiter (RPR), and/or Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) accreditation, or currently working towards obtaining would be an asset
