Reference Data Regional Lead recruitment
A challenging role is available in a new function for reference data in the US. Instrument reference data has historically been managed as an IT initiative within DB. Over the course of 2011 the GBS group have gradually taken ownership and managerial responsibility for the data content and quality. The Consumer Service Management (CSM) team play a key role in the continued adoption of this service. CSM offer a vital onshore engagement layer for consumers of instrument reference data. As this service develops this role will be invaluable as a way to gauge the continued success of the programme. This position is to establish the US regional team and will report globally into the London lead.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be a key member of instrument reference data team with specific responsibility for managing and engaging with key stakeholders and consumers of the reference data platform. Main responsibilities will include:
- Managing the relationship with all instrument data consumers across the DB including the front office businesses (Equity and Fixed Income) and logistics functions (Credit, Finance, Compliance, Operations etc.)
- Representing DB in external industry forums and ensuring that DB is kept abreast of any market developments
- Providing subject matter expertise in the reference and market data space
- Identifying opportunities to improve data quality, breadth and depth
- Working with internal Market Data Services Group to identify and evaluate vendor products
You will have:
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with security reference and market data
- Knowledge of Equity, Fixed Income and/or Derivative instruments
- Experience of reporting across time-zones
- Strong relationship management skills
- Excellent vendor management skills
- Good knowledge of data vendor products (e.g. - Bloomberg, Reuters, IDC, SP etc.).
- Experience of reference data architectures in other banks
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
