Reference Data
Key elements of the role
- Responsible for creating and managing an application to master GED-specific reference data (e.g. baskets), as these data are migrated out of Geronimo. This will include distribution of these data to other systems that need to consume them - both within Trade Lifecycle and Risk
- This person will need to interface with Data IT and external data vendors (e.g. Reuters) to understand the up-stream datasources. They need to have a fetishistic focus on maintaining the cleanliness of their datamodel
Essential Skills / Experience
- Proven ability to implement and manage a structured software development lifecycle across a globally-distributed team
- Strong functional analysis skills, with experience of feeds to market-risk and financial control systems
- Excellent data modelling skills, focused on maintaining long-term “correctness” and clarity of model
- Experience building software applications rapidly to support evolving business areas
- Strong Java design and development skills
- Pragmatic, “can do” attitude
