Job Description
 
The Referral Development Specialist is responsible for cultivating existing referring physician relationships, creating new inroads in relevant geographic areas with respect to referring physicians, and addressing concerns of referring physicians. Valid Driver’s License and clean record of motor vehicle history required.
 
Status: Full Time
Days: Monday-Friday
Location: Philadelphia

ESSENTIAL DUTIES (This list may not include all duties assigned)
1. Visit referring physicians’ offices in all target areas or territories as assigned by Referring Physician Manager. On these visits the Referral Development Specialist must provide the latest version of the RI Marketing Kit in a professional, friendly manner and be sure to highlight information about the practice that has changed, new doctors, upcoming events, etc.
2. Pertaining to above, the Referral Development Specialist must plan, in advance, what offices will be visited.
3. Schedule visits with RI physicians, staff, etc. to introduce them to the referring physician(s) in the relevant geographic territory. 
4. Write follow up letters to offices visited.
5. Maintain a current database of all relevant contacts. 
6. Assist in other marketing projects when needed as assigned by the Referral Development Manager and/or Marketing Director.
7. Other duties as assigned by manager/director.
 
WORKING CONDITIONS
ENVIRONMENTAL:
Work performed primarily in office environment. Occasional exposure to seasonal weather conditions (heat, cold, water, etc.) during travel.
 
VISION: 
Must be able to see 20/20 vision with correction.
 
COMMUNICATION:
Must be able to read, write, and communicate English language.
 
PHYSICAL:
May require occasional sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time in an office environment
 
TRAVEL:
Work is performed in and out of the office setting as required. This position requires traveling to satellite offices, outreach events, and conferences as needed. May include travel outside of normal business hours.
 
Qualifications
 
EDUCATION:   
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or relevant field.
 
LICENSURE:  
None
 
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of two (2) year’s marketing experience.
